Software license terms for CiteLogos
Subject to the terms of this EULA, Licensor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
The features available to you depend on your subscription tier (Basic or Pro) and your subscription status. After the Free Access Period, both Basic and Pro require an active, paid subscription. Pro features require an active Pro subscription at all times.
You may NOT:
The Software is protected by copyright laws and international treaties. Licensor and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights. This EULA does not grant you any rights to trademarks, service marks, or trade names of Licensor.
CiteLogos Basic is provided free of charge until June 1, 2026 ("Free Access Period"). During this period, no payment is required for Basic features. After the Free Access Period, continued use of Basic requires a valid paid subscription. Existing free users will receive a seven (7) day trial to evaluate the service before subscribing.
CiteLogos Pro is a paid subscription available immediately. Pro features require an active paid subscription at all times, regardless of the Free Access Period.

All prices are in United States Dollars (USD). Applicable taxes will be added based on your location.
New users who register after the Free Access Period ends may receive a seven (7) day free trial of CiteLogos Basic. New Pro subscribers may also receive a seven (7) day free trial of Pro features. If you do not cancel before a trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription. You may cancel at any time during a trial without charge.
YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current subscription rate at each renewal. You authorize recurring charges to your payment method on file.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by visiting your account page at citelogos.com/account or by contacting support@citelogos.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You will retain access to your subscribed features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
All subscription fees are non-refundable. No partial, prorated, or full refunds will be issued for any reason, including early cancellation, non-use, or dissatisfaction. When you cancel, your access continues through the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and no further charges will be made.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card or payment details. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
Subscription fees are exclusive of applicable taxes. Sales tax, VAT, GST, or other applicable taxes will be calculated and added at checkout based on your location, as required by law.
The Software may be installed on up to three (3) Devices per license. The Software periodically verifies your license status and subscription tier, which requires an internet connection. If verification fails, an offline grace period of seven (7) days applies. If your subscription expires or is cancelled, features corresponding to your subscription tier may be disabled.
Licensor may, at its discretion, provide updates, patches, or new versions of the Software. Such updates may be automatic or require user action. Licensor is not obligated to provide support, maintenance, updates, or modifications, except as may be included with a paid subscription.
The Software does not collect, transmit, or store the content of your documents. Your academic work remains entirely on your Device. The Software transmits your email address, device identifier, and usage statistics (such as error counts and processing time) for license verification and product improvement purposes. Payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is not stored by Licensor. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy at citelogos.com/privacy.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:
THE SOFTWARE IS DESIGNED TO ASSIST IN IDENTIFYING POTENTIAL CITATION ERRORS BUT IS NOT INFALLIBLE. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING ALL OUTPUT AND VERIFYING ACCURACY. AUTO-FIX CORRECTIONS PROVIDED BY CITELOGOS PRO SHOULD BE REVIEWED BEFORE ACCEPTANCE. LICENSOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ACADEMIC, PROFESSIONAL, OR OTHER CONSEQUENCES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON THE SOFTWARE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
LICENSOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Licensor and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
This EULA is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any term herein. Upon termination:
This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under this EULA shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
The Software is operated from the United States. If you use the Software from outside the United States, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws. All prices are in US Dollars. By using the Software from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States for processing in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If any provision of this EULA is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
This EULA, together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Licensor regarding the Software and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, warranties, and understandings.
Licensor reserves the right to modify this EULA at any time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated EULA at citelogos.com and, where appropriate, by email notification. Your continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified EULA.
