Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using CiteLogos software and services ("Service") operated by CiteLogos LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using CiteLogos, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

CiteLogos is a citation checking tool for Microsoft Word that helps identify potential APA 7th edition formatting errors in academic documents. The Service analyzes your documents locally on your computer and provides suggestions for improvement through Word comments.

2. Free Access Period

CiteLogos is provided free of charge until June 1, 2026 ("Free Access Period"). During this period, all features are available without payment or subscription. After the Free Access Period ends, continued use requires a paid subscription.

3. Subscriptions and Payment

After the Free Access Period:

• Monthly subscription: $8.00 per month
• Annual subscription: $80.00 per year

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

3.1 Refund Policy

All subscriptions (monthly and annual) are non-refundable. We encourage you to take full advantage of the free access period (until June 1, 2026) to evaluate whether CiteLogos meets your needs before subscribing. You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges, but no refunds will be issued for unused subscription time.

4. License Grant

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and install CiteLogos on devices you own or control
• Use CiteLogos for personal, educational, or professional purposes
• Install CiteLogos on up to three (3) devices per license/subscription

5. Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the software
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Share your subscription or license with others
• Use the software for any unlawful purpose
• Circumvent any licensing or security mechanisms
• Resell or commercially exploit the software

6. Intellectual Property

CiteLogos and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by CiteLogos LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of results
• Non-infringement
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

CiteLogos is a tool to assist in identifying potential citation errors but is not infallible. Results should be reviewed by a knowledgeable user. We do not guarantee that all errors will be detected or that all flagged items are actual errors.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CITELOGOS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
• Any damages arising from reliance on the Service's output
• Academic or professional consequences from citation errors

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CiteLogos LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your license to use CiteLogos immediately ends
• You must uninstall and delete all copies of the software
• Provisions that by their nature should survive (such as limitations of liability) will survive termination

11. Updates and Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Michigan.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and End User License Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and CiteLogos LLC regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
