Pro corrects citation errors directly in your text—comma placement, et al. usage, ampersands, citation order, and more—using Word's Track Changes, so every correction is visible and reversible.
Pro also repairs your reference list: alphabetical order, italics, title case, hanging indents, double spacing, DOI formatting, and references split across multiple lines. Each correction is entered as a tracked change you can review.
Accept or reject each fix individually, or apply them all at once with the one-click Accept Fixes button. Nothing in your document changes permanently without your approval.
Every auto-fix includes a comment showing exactly what was changed—the original text and the corrected version—so you can review each correction before accepting.
Toggle what a Pro run does from the ribbon: fix in-text citations, fix references, Track Changes, fix comments, summary dialog and comment, and the unused-items appendix. Turn off Fix In-Text Citations to deliver comments with recommendations instead of tracked changes—ideal for instructors and writing centers whose students should make the corrections themselves. Your preferences persist between sessions.
